Step 2-
Use this information to make an imaginary creation in your studio. Size: 10 inches minimum, shortest dimension, media of your choice.
I had some spare parts that I took out of a computer so I decided to experiment with the orientation to try to make an Ariel map of my street. Once I got the view that I wanted, I used wood glue to secure the parts to wooden blocks that I bought from Michaels.
The green motherboard represents the displaced land surrounded by homes my neighborhood. The black bar represents the fences the goes through it. The Blue represents my condominium as it matches with the colors scheme of one of my observation photos. It also relates to the ocean relative to Florida.
I wanted my piece to convey the gentrification between nature and urbanization within the landscape by having an aerial map depicting how much is covered by human activity and actual nature.
